BOGUS BEATLES
9/30/1964 Every Little Thing VG 20X4
Supposed to be an alternate take but is actually someone playing along with the record.
1965 I Love You Too VG IRT
This was alleged to be Paul with The Fourmost but is actually just The Fourmost from the film "Ferry 'Cross The Mersey".
4/13/1965 Help FR 20X4
Supposed to be a demo recorded on a journalist's hand held recorder but is probably someon playing along with a recording.
6/15/1965 It's Only Love VG IRT
Supposed to be an acoustic version but is actually one channel of stereo
1967 L. S. Bumble Bee VG TAPE
This was claimed by bootleggers to be The Beatles (or at least John) but it is actually Peter Cook and Dudley Moore in a
lampoon on the "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" controversy.  Issued by Decca records.
Dec. 1967 Day Tripper EX HBBC
This is The Jimi Hendrix Experience on the BBC's "Top Gear".  For many years it was believed that John and possibly
George or Paul were singing back up on it.  Even the first official Hendrix issue of this inferred to this belief.  It has now been
determined that it is actually Noel Redding singing in a Lennonesque voice.  Even so, this is a fucking killer version.
1967-68? Peace Of Mind VG SFF EXP
This was allegedly found in an Apple trash can and claimed to be a "Sgt. Pepper" outtake.  However, recently this theory has
received great doubt.  Who it really is remains unknown.  Actually, I wish it was The Beatles.  I think it's a cool tune.
2/11/1968 Hey Bulldog FR IRT
Supposed to be a rhythm track but is probably one channel of stereo.
1968 Frenzy And Distortion VG IRT
This was originally supposed to be "Not Guilty" but obviously isn't.  It is also known as "Guitar Man".  My references refer
to it by this title from an album by Ravi Shankar titled "Raga" Apple SWAO 3384.  It sure does sound like The Beatles
though (especially George).  It's a very cool song.
1968 Glass Onion EX TAPE EXP
Supposed to be real with additional instrumentation…cool but fake.
10/3/1968 Savoy Truffle EX IRT
Supposed to be a rhythm track but is probably one channel of stereo.
1969 Have You Heard The Word? VG TAPE
Again, alleged by bootleggers to be The Beatles and The Bee Gees but is actually a band called The Futz from a single on
Beacon Records.  This is the long version.  Finding it in John's collection, Yoko even tried to have it copywrited.
1969 King Of Fuh ("The Fuh King"!!!) VG RR
This was an actual Apple single by a band called Brute Force that allegedly had Beatles' involvement but doesn't.
1969 I Need You (not the George Harrison song) EX ABRD
While this has turned up on bootlegs and I have seen it referenced, no one seems to know what or who it is.  The disc
I have claims it is John, but it most certainly is not.
1969 Oh My Love VG GARJ
This was supposed to be an early Beatles version but in reality it is a Canadian band called The Wackers.
1969 "THE MASKED MARAUDERS" (full album) EX ORIG
Rolling Stone issued a album review about a record by a band by this name that consisted of John, Paul, George, Bob
Dylan, and Mick Jagger.  The review was bogus.  But in response to public demand, Diety Records 6378 released this
album.  I don't know who the musicians actually are but they're certainly not who they are supposed to be.  The last
song contains a disclaimer as to album's legitimacy.  The music isn't too bad.
mid 70s? Penny O' Dell GD 20X4
Supposed to be a Wings outtake but it is probably titled "Holding Onto A Dream" by Kenny O'Dell.
4/23/1977 Cheese And Onions VG IRT
This turned up allegedly as a Lennon outtake.  It is actually The Rutles.
1993 In Spite Of All The Danger EX UC1
This is the remaining Quarry Men in 1993. Not exactly bogus Beatles but what the heck.
