Recording "Strawberry Fields Forever" (take 1)
This seven and a half hour session produced only this one song which amounted to little more than a detailed demo.
This recording was officially released on Anthology 2 and a variety of alternate mixes circulate among collectors.

Five months after the last Revolver session and three months after their last concert,
here they are seen entering E.M.I. Studios for the first session of the new album
At this time, the "Sgt. Pepper" concept had not yet been conceived.
I often wonder if they had any indiciation of how different their musical direction had become.
