Early Winters is a side-project collaboration of Carina Round, Justin Rutledge and Dan Burns with additional help from Zac Rea, Simon Smith and Scott Seiver. A song titled "Trun Around" first appeared in late 2008 in an episode of The Ghost Whisperer and as a download on the internet. A Carina demo of "Paper Boat Aeroplane" had also appeared on MySpace earlier in 2008. Finally, in mid 2009, during Carina's Things You Should Know tour, she was selling handmade CDRs with four songs under the name "Early Winters". Three Canadian shows during the tour featured sets by the trio. At that time, a full band version of "Paper Boat Aeroplane" with Carina and Justin trading off verses appeared on MySpace. It disappeared shortly thereafter.

In early 2010, two new songs along with an alternate version of "Paper Boat Areoplane" appeared on MySpace. People And Places One Time In Your Life Paper Boat Aeroplane (All three feature Carina - lead vocal, Justin - backing vocal) Three additional songs are known to exist but details are uncertain. It's Only Goodbye Moving Out We Are A Canyon We now have ten songs. It would seem a proper release is forthcoming. |
