Though The Beatles had played regularly at the home of “Sensational Jive Dances” since January, it wasn’t until 12 August 1961 that Beekay promoter Brian Kelly hired “The Dynamic Beatles” as Saturday night regulars. The gig lasted for seven weeks. Kelly, a great supporter of the group since May 1960, booked the band for nearly 60 appearances at the Institute and Litherland Town Hall in 1961 alone.
